We strongly advise that customers view the motorhome of their choice before booking. Whilst we try our best to describe the motorhomes in full there is no substitution for trying out the vehicle in person since some layouts are different. All motorhomes have dozens of different layouts. Please also be aware that only forward facing seats have seat belts as required by U.K. laws. However some of our motorhomes (Benimar) do have seat belts on rear facing seats also. Please make sure before hiring that you are happy with the number of seat belts in the vehicle. All our vehicles are front wheel drive which gives more room in the motorhome but may be unpopular with some people. You cannot please all of the people all of the time!

The Company reserves the right to vary rates and conditions at any time. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING WATER SYSTEM ON MOTORHOMES Please ensure that there is always water in the water tank which is situated under the seats in the motorhome. This is because the water pump is electric and is situated within the tank and if attempts are made to pump water with an empty tank then the pump will burn out and no water will be available. This is easily rectified by installing a new water pump in the tank but would be very inconvenient to you if a new pump could not be obtained for whatever reason. This has caused problems in the past where a hirer burnt out a pump, thought it was an electrical fault and proceeded to swap fuses around in a random fashion causing electrical failure of most appliances on board. This is totally avoidable since the water content of the tank is clearly displayed on the control panel above the door along with waste water levels, battery power remaining, etc. IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS WHEN OPERATING MOTORHOMES Our motorhomes are the very latest with modern safety precautions built into the motorhome by the manufacturers. It is important, however, that you do understand the dangers associated with the electrical systems which are 240volts (as well as 12volts), which can inflict fatal injuries. The gas onboard the vehicle can also be very dangerous and must be handled with care in case of leaks. We must now look at these two areas in detail as you and your family's safety are of utmost importance to us. ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS All our motorhomes have two electrical systems, 12volts and 240 volts:- 12 VOLTS The 12v supply for the engine is from a normal 12 volt battery and is used to start the vehicle and to supply all the normal vehicle electrical accessories as used in your car. This battery does NOT supply electrical power to the motorhome/living area. The manufacturers separate these two areas so that the engine battery cannot be depleted by motorhome usage. A separate 12 volt supply is provided for the motorhome/living area by 12volt LIESURE BATTERIES. These batteries are 12volt but of a different type to the engine battery since they do not need to give large surges of power to start an engine but give continuous 12volt supply for internal lights and accessories. If the leisure batteries are flat because of over usage they can be recharged by plugging the 240volt power lead into a supply. The on board battery charger will charge up the leisure batteries. The vehicle alternator will also charge the leisure batteries when you are driving but not if they are completely flat. The leisure batteries are normally in a separate compartment in the motorhome with access from the outside. 240 VOLTS Before connecting the power lead switch off the RCD supply switch and ensure all 240 volt appliances are turned off. Connecting the vehicle to a 240volt supply is via the orange lead supplied with the vehicle. It is VITAL that you connect the motorhome first and then plug the other end into the mains supply (otherwise you would be holding a live end). Ensure that the orange lead is unravelled to prevent it heating up. Now turn on the RCD (Residual Current Device) unit and press the test button to ensure the system trips out as it should. Reset RCD unit. The RCD unit cuts off supply if anyone touches a live connection. On disconnecting the orange lead disconnect the mains first and the motorhome last GAS LPG is highly inflammable and explosive and if the control tap or valve leaks then there can be a dreadful outcome. Never store or transport cylinders horizontally as this could prevent the pressure relief safety valve from working. LPG is heavier than air and will sink to the bottom of any area. That is why the locker that holds the LPG cylinders has apertures to allow an escape route for any leaking gas. Do not obstruct these apertures and do not store items in this locker which may obstruct this outlet. On each gas cylinder is a gas regulator. Do not try and dismantle this and do not move cylinders outside the locker since if water collects in the breather hole on the regulator it will cease to work properly. OVERLOADING It is the drivers/hirers responsibility to ensure that the motorhome is not overloaded. An overloaded vehicle is unstable and unsafe. Axle weights and total gross weights are clearly shown on the vehicle plate. Please ask our staff to show you this plate and to explain the capacity of each axle and overall gross weight. If unsure of overloading please have vehicle weighed at your local weighing station. Don't forget that it is silly (wasting fuel and maybe overloading) travelling long distances with fresh water and waste tanks full.
