About Leeds
Leeds is located on the River Aire in West Yorkshire. Leeds was awarded City Status in 1893. Leeds has developed into a major industrial centre for the production and trade of wool then, most recently, Leeds has become an emerging centre for commerce and higher education: University of Leeds, Leeds Metropolitan University and Trinity & All Saints College.
