Hertfordshire is an inland county and one of the Home Counties. To the east of Hertfordshire is Essex, to the west is Buckinghamshire and to the north is Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Urban areas within Hertfordshire include: Watford, Hoddesdon, Welwyn Garden City, Letchworth Garden City, Hitchin, Hertford and Stevenage.
