It’s that time of year again, when the grand doors of Buckingham Palace are opened to the public, with the royal summer exhibition.
This year’s exhibition, which is named ‘A Royal Welcome Exhibition at Buckingham Palace’, focuses on the guests who stay in the palace. From visiting dignitaries, to presidential visits, to summer garden party guests, Buckingham Palace has housed some of the most important people on the planet, and now it’s your turn to get the royal treatment. Although you won’t actually be able to stay over in the palace yourself, you can still learn all about the hard work and intricate details that go into planning for an important guest. Learn all of the secrets behind the preparation that goes into a royal visit, from the food that is made in the royal kitchens, to the linens and porcelains chosen.
Open to the public from 27 July to 27 September 2015, ‘A Royal Welcome Exhibition at Buckingham Palace’ is priced at £20.50 for an adult ticket, £11.80 for a child ticket and £18.80 for a concession ticket. Alternately, admission to the exhibition is included as part of a tour of Buckingham Palace.
So leave your Easirent hire car at the hotel and head to probably one of the most famous palaces in the world, and afterwards maybe you can go for a stroll in the lush, green haven that is Green Park, located just a two minute walk from the palace itself.
