The Aberdeen International Street Market is a seasonal event which draws in many people from the surrounding area and further afield as over 70 stalls pop up in Union Terrace, showcasing the finest produce and products from countries across Europe and sometimes further afield. The finale International Street Market of the year in Aberdeen is coming to town from 29th October until 1st November and is open all day each day.
Aberdeen International Street Market takes over Union Terrace and brings a wide range of European goods to the city. If you’re visiting Aberdeen or are in the area whilst the market is in town it’s pretty central and convenient to visit and if you’re driving your hire car in from the airport, it should only take 20 minutes or so.
The International Street Market is put on by Europe’s leading street market company, Geraud Groupe, alongside Aberdeen City Council and brings in good from France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and many more countries, including UK traders too. Fresh fruit, wooden crafts, garden furniture, European handmade textiles and much more are on sale, as well as authentic herbs and spices from the cuisines of different countries. The whole atmosphere of the market is continental with plenty of food tastings and opportunities to browse at leisure.
The International Street Market visits Aberdeen several times a year and it’s a great choice if you’re not quite in the mood for Christmas markets just yet but still want to enjoy the finest European fare.
