The Games ahs been viewed by many as a triumph for Glasgow and for Scotland, as it opened its doors to the 71 Commonwealth nations.
It was then all about Kylie Minogue to wow the crowds with a seven-song set including hits like Spinning Around, Into The Blue and The Locomotion. She was joined by Dougie MacLean who led a mass sing-a-long of Auld Lang Syne and Scots favourites Deacon Blue.
The closing party gave everyone – from athletes to volunteers – their flash in the limelight as the city celebrated what chiefs described as the best Commonwealth Games ever.
