There are some happy staff members at Car Hire Birmingham Airport and they are keen to see the unbeaten run continue.
It will be great for the Birmingham faithful to savour the unbeaten start to new manager Gary Rowett’s tenure at St. Andrews. Although it does bring back memories to last season under Lee Clark, after an eleven game loosing free streak, it still resulted in last day drama to keep them up.
The key to this unbeaten run is the ability to win at home and please the support that turn up. Under Clark none of the unbeaten victories came at home, with Rowett’s first home success only the second win in thirteen months for the Blues faithful.
The other main difference is not to rely so heavily on loan signings that do not last the course of the season, with notable examples like Jesse Lingard ending the campaign with Brighton and defender Kyle Bartley leaving the club by the end of January.
So if the message is slightly cautionary, then that’s necessarily so, but it certainly not all doom and gloom. Rowett seems to have a far more balanced personality and wild fluctuations in performances and results don’t appear to be part of his make-up.
