Pick up your Easirent hire car from Birmingham International Airport and head to the Birmingham International Jazz and Blues Festival 2015.
The festival which runs from Friday 3rd July to Sunday 12th July will feature 192 performances in 40 spaces throughout the city centre. Venues include bars, restaurants, trains, canal boats and even Cadbury World and will showcase a whole host of local and international acts. There will be 31 film screenings, an exhibition of photographs, a record fair and four talks for visitors to attend during the festival.
Dance the night away in the pop-up dance hall on Saturday 4th July from 15:00 to 19:00 at Birmingham’s Regency Wharf. Visitors are invited to celebrate Billie Holiday’s 100th birthday on Friday 10th July with a special performance by Sarah Lenka at 13:10.
Head to Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens on Sunday 12th July at 19:00 for a special performance by the Walsall Jazz Orchestra, tickets for the event cost £10 and are available to buy online.
Catch an award winning performance by the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra on Sunday 15th July at 19:00; directed by the legendary John Ruddick MBE, the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra has been described as one of the world’s best young jazz orchestras.
