The confidence of the team is also shared by loyal fans working at Car Hire Birmingham Airport who would love to see the unbeaten run continue.
There is belief within the Birmingham City ranks that they can continue to climb the table and distance themselves from the relegation worries.
This is the view of defender Paul Robinson as the Blues look to extend the four game unbeaten run under new boss Gary Rowett. Stalwart Robinson says the team are thriving in a system in which their creative players have a solid platform from which to express themselves.
“It’s time to start looking up the table and that’s what we’re doing. Game by game we’ve looked at what we are about as a group of players and I think each game has given each player a lot more confidence with how well we have performed,” said Robinson.
One of the stand out performers so far under Rowett according to Paul Robinson has been Andy Shinnie, especially the performance against Rotherham last weekend.
Robinson added, “He is fantastic, he has got so much ability and he needs to play to show that ability. He’s getting that opportunity to show what he can do; he is causing opposition teams a lot of problems because they don’t know where he’s at or what to do with him. It’s making it a lot easier for us back lads because we know we can find him in those little pockets and he can turn and cause problems. For the team it’s been brilliant.”
