This autumn, Blackburn Artists’ Society will be featuring an annual selection of their work at Blackburn Museum. Since 1946, the group meet weekly in a friendly setting aimed to encourage one another, promote the appreciation and practice of all forms of fine art, and to provide an opportunity for their work to be exhibited and sold. The exhibition opens on 21 November 2015 until 6 February 2016.
When you collect your Easirent hire car from our Blackburn branch, the drive to Blackburn Museum should take no more than 10 minutes. Pay and display parking is available around the town centre and above the Mall shopping centre nearby. Short-stay parking for an hour is available on nearby Richmond Terrace and Museum Street.
Blackburn Museum was setup in 1874 and was one of the first purpose built museums to open outside of London. The Museum houses an array of historic artefacts such as decorative art, Egyptology, coins, and manuscripts. Blackburn Museum is free and open all year round except Mondays, Tuesdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays.
There are great days out in Blackburn and the surrounding areas. Only 37 miles from our Easirent Blackburn branch you can drive to the West Pennine Moors, an area of historic importance and natural beauty. For more ideas, check out Easirent’s top 5 days out in Lancashire.
