A good place to visit in November in the comfort of a VW Camper Van is Bridgwater Carnival held on the 7th November 2015 with several Camp sites nearby.
Bridgwater Carnival in Somerset is one of the worlds largest annual winter Carnival processions, with vehicles up to 100 feet long illuminated by thousands of lights and costing in excess of $20,000 to build . The procession is normally two to three hours long and raises money for local Charities.
Visitors come from all over the world to enjoy this spectacular carnival. All carts are themed and vary from History scenes to popular Characters and pop or dance songs. Some of the carts come alive to dances performing to well known tunes and others are perfectly still recreating a scene as the float goes by.
A local tradition is to cheer and clap if the lights or music fail as so much work goes into each cart to make the night special.
The Carnival circuit also takes place at other towns including Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare, Shepton Mallet, North Petherton and Glastonbury.
