Orlando Airport (MCO) is a major international airport is situated 6km out of the commercial district of the city centre. The second business airport after Miami, the airport code MCO directly refers to the airport’s history as the airport began as Mc Coy Air force Base. In the 1960’s the airbase also operated as a commercial airline service to the Orlando area, however in 1973 post Vietnam the military service was reduced and the airbase became a commercial service only.
When checking in at Orlando Airport passengers are advised to go to Departures on level 3, depending on the airline there are two sections A and B.
