This weekend, Cardiff hosts its legendary annual International Food & Drink Festival, which is set to attract foodies from all over the UK and beyond. Being a vibrant port city, Cardiff has always had a reputation for quality seafood and fresh produce from around the world, so it makes sense that a festival which celebrates global cuisine has done so well in the city. Running into its 16th year, the festival is more popular than ever, and offers revellers a taste of culinary delights from Wales and all over the world, alongside quality live music and entertainment. Featuring the biggest outdoor Street Food Piazza in Wales, the festival will feature cuisine from more than 100 producers. Cheese, artisan breads, specialist liquors and cured meats are just some of the delights on offer, and guests can also indulge in the Champagne Bar situated at the water’s edge, complete with bandstand.
A perfect summer day out for individuals, couples, and families, the Food & Drink Festival is an integral part of the Cardiff Summer Festival, which started in June and runs all the way through to September. The action-packed festival features an abundance of concerts, exhibitions, and culture events. For more information, check out the full programme at www.visitcardiff.com.
