Saturday 8th August will see the return of Championship football to the beautiful city of Cardiff, as Cardiff City FC play host to Fulham at the start of another long season in the highly-competitive Sky Bet Championship. After a fairly disappointing 11th place finish in their 2014/15 campaign, The Bluebirds will be keen to hit the ground running this time around, and will ultimately be aiming for a play-off spot, giving them a chance to be promoted back to the heady heights of the Barclays Premier League. Cardiff are not particularly well-fancied by bookmakers to make the grade, with odds of 8/1 to be promoted to football’s top tier. However, having achieved that same promotion as league champions just a few years ago, as well as earning a League Cup final spot against Liverpool in 2012, the Bluebirds will be looking to prove their doubters wrong once again.
For those keen to catch the action, The City of Cardiff Stadium can be found on Leckwith Road in the heart of Cardiff City Centre, which is just a 20-minute drive from the Easirent site at Cardiff Airport. For tickets, visit the club’s official website, or enquire at the ticket office which can be found at the stadium itself.
