Pick up your Easirent hire car from our Preston town centre branch and head to the Chorley Grand Prix, taking place on the 26 March 2016, the Chorley Cycling Grand Prix is located just a short 20 minute drive away from our Preston town centre branch, and is easily reachable via the M65 motorway.
The Chorley Grand Prix gives cycling fans the chance to cheer on their favourite British cyclists as they take on the 100 mile course around the Chorley Borough in the opening round of the British Cycling Elite Road Series 2016.
Make sure that you arrive early at the starting point, which is located on Park Road in Chorley town centre and the route then takes the cyclists through Rivington, Belmont, Abbey Village, Withnell, Brinscall, Wheelton, Buckshaw Village and back to Chorley to reach the finish line.
Chorley Council, who will be hosting the event, have teamed up with British Cycling and Chorley Building Society to host the event, which will see some famous faces from the cycling circuit pass through the Lancashire village. The event will see thousands of visitors heading to Chorley for the day on 26 March so it’s recommended that you arrive early to get a good spot.
The event will showcase the borough’s enthusiasm for cycling and it will help to put Chorley on the map for a European audience, as the event will be broadcast on Eurosport.
