Brockholes Reserve on the outskirts of Preston is a great place to visit any time of year but with Christmas coming up the organisers have arranged a schedule of special festive events, beginning with the Crafty Vintage Christmas Markets, running from 4th until 6th December. The markets take over the reserve and offer up a fantastic range of festive and tempting treats.
There will be late night shopping and food courtyards open until 9pm on the Friday and Saturday so there’s a chance to truly enjoy the scenic surrounds as well as the vast range of festive attractions. Signature cocktails will be available from the Bread and Butter Cocktail Bar and Brockholes have even brought in singers and entertainers to make the event even more memorable.
Throughout the day there will be free children’s events including a magician and face painting and the stalls will include of 100 local creatives as well as those from further afield offering up their beautifully crafted wares, many with a fab festive theme. Local food stalls will be aside those with an international twist. As well as the Bread and Butter pop-up cocktail bar Brockholes have organised the vibrant Crafty Vintage Cabaret where there will be many special guests alongside Brockholes regulars.
The visitor centre which plays home to the Extravaganza floats at the centre of Brockholes Nature Reserve and visitors coming in from Preston can simply jump in their Easirent hire car and travel the short 15 minute drive out of the city.
