With a new firm on board to support with future expansion of the airport, Car Hire Gatwick Airport think they must be taking it very seriously ahead of the first report due out in the coming months.
There is now a new firm at Gatwick Airport, who will work under the airport’s new Engineering Design Framework. Parsons Brinckerhoff who is a global engineering consultancy will provide multi-disciplinary services to support the current and future plans of expansion for the airport.
Parsons Brinckerhoff UK Director of Sustainable Building Services David Luscombe said, “GatwickAirport is crucial to the UK’s economy and international connectivity. The airport’s strategic growth over the next 10 years aims to position it as the international ‘airport of choice’ for the UK and Europe, delivering a world class service to its passengers. This new framework will help ensure that this growth benefits from the very best world-leading design expertise.”
The new framework was established to acquire the fullest range of design activities to support the development, modification, operation and maintenance of physical infrastructure as part of the airport’s continuing capital investment programme. The appointment is a four year contract, which can be extended a further year.
The new company will lead the project delivery process with a multi-disciplinary team of specialists including Grimshaw Architects, Gebler Tooth Architects, Chapman Taylor and Excova.
