Luton Airport has one main terminal which handles a small group of airlines. A selection of car hire companies are located in the terminal as you come through the walkway. Rail and bus tickets can also be purchased here and taxi stands are located at the front of the terminal building. There is a constant, free shuttle bus service which operates between the terminal building and Luton Parkway Station, 1.5 miles away. The journey takes around 10 minutes in normal traffic conditions. There are regular 24 hour rail services to central London taking only 25 minutes. There are also trains to the south coast, the Midlands and northern England. On arrival into LLA, you’ll need to go through the Passport Control gates, unless you’re under 18 or a non-EU passport holder. If that’s you, head to one of the desks instead.
Airlines that fly from Luton Airport include:
If you’re hiring a car with Easirent, you’ll need to head to the Baggage Reclaim hall. This is easily reached, and the belts are clearly labelled. There are toilets and payphones there too. Once you have received your luggage, make your way to the bus terminals situated directly outside where you will find the Airparks bus at Lane M. The blue Airparks bus will pick-up every 15 minutes and take you to the Easirent office located at Airparks business park. PLEASE NOTE: We are not situated at the Car Hire Centre.
If you’ve checked-in online but have Hold Baggage to hand in, you’ll need to visit your airline’s bag-drop desk when you come to the airport. If you haven’t checked in you’ll find everything and everyone you need in our Check-in area. There are maps inside the main entrance to help you find everything you’ll need but it’s best to check-in first and make your way to the Departures hall for the best Food, Drink and Shopping.
You should compare the arrangements offered by different airlines before making your booking and be sure to check whether the cost of any special assistance is included in the price of your ticket.
Luton Airport tries to ensure their disabled passengers are able to travel as comfortably and hassle-free as possible. Facilities for disabled travellers include:
If you’re travelling with children, help is at hand. Our Passenger Service Assistants can be found throughout the airport. They’re there to answer any questions, offer any directions, help with medical emergencies and generally keep an eye on things. They’re easy to spot – just look out for their hi-visibility uniforms and big friendly smiles, or pick up a red courtesy phone to contact them.
Sadly, there are no longer play areas for children at Luton Airport. Special menus and offers for children are available across the airport restaurants. Although Luton doesn’t have a dedicated area for bottle warming, feel free to ask in one for the cafes or restaurants and we are sure they will be happy to oblige. There aren’t any specific children’s shops so it would be wise to bring activities, books and other quiet toys to keep them entertained. There are baby-changing facilities in both the arrivals and departures halls.
There is a vast selection of bars, restaurants and food outlets in Luton Airport. From dining in style to a coffee and snack, you can find whatever food you are looking for. Nobody likes to travel on an empty stomach!
Before security, you can find a Burger King, Caffé Nero, Food Village, Bar des Voyagers, The Great British Sausage Company, Pizza e Pronta, Starbucks Coffee and Upper Crust.
After you go through security and check-in, there is Bar 10, Est Bar, Frankie & Benny’s, Bella Italia, Krispy Kreme, Auntie Anne’s, Pret A Manger, Benugo and Wasabi.
