Edinburgh Airport announces new service to Norway

Car Hire Edinburgh Airport like the new service announced for the summer schedule at the airport to another European destination.

There is going to be a new service from Edinburgh Airport, flying to Stavanger in Norway. It will be serviced by SAS airline on the summer schedule twice a week on a Thursday and Sunday until 5th October 2014.

Hans Dyhrfort, SAS’s regional general manager for Western Europe, said “We are pleased to offer Edinburgh’s first scheduled service direct to Stavanger and provide direct flights to a great city, the fjords and onward connections to Scandinavia.”

It is the fourth largest city in Norway, with a population of around 120,000 people. It is believed to be the largest wooden city in Europe and home to a number of museums. Oil was discovered in 1969 off its shores which has altered the city’s fortunes.
