Back again for 2015 is one of the most fun runs there is, the annual Santa Run. The Santa Run in Edinburgh is organised for 13th December 2015 and people of all ages can get involved and support a leading Scottish charity.
The Santa Run is organised to support The ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’ Charity which grants special wishes to children up and down Scotland living with life threatening or life limiting illnesses.
The 2015 Santa Run is taking place through West Princes Street Gardens and is open to people of all fitness levels. You can walk it, run it or do a mix of the both around the 2.5km course and the only provision is that’s you’re decked out in your Santa costume and that you’ve paid for your entry. There are reduced fees for children and both children in prams and four-legged pals are welcomed, with special prizes available for the best dressed pooched and the best decorated pushchair.
The event is planned to be tons of fun and get you in the Christmas spirit for a good cause and even if participating isn’t your thing plenty of people come along to watch and join in the fun. West Princes Street Gardens are centrally located within Edinburgh so if you’re in the city it is no trouble to visit and it’s a great way of getting festive and supporting a good cause. It’s a fun run by name and nature so top fitness levels simply aren’t required to get involved.
