Friday 4th of July 2014
The Car Hire Edinburgh Airport team will be telling any gaming fans about the exhibition taking place at the end of 2014.
There will be classic video game characters on show in Edinburgh at the National Museum of Scotland at the end of the year as the Game Masters exhibition will descend on the city.
The exhibition will open on Friday 5th December and the museum will be transformed in to a giant arcade with over 100 playable games covering a period which has seen video games evolve from a niche interest into a major leisure activity. As well as game play visitors will be able to learn more about game design and development through rare original game artwork, 2D objects and interviews with game designers.
Cherie McNair, Head of Exhibitions and Design at National Museums Scotland said, “We’re delighted to be the only European venue for this major exhibition which promises to be both hugely entertaining as well as giving context to the evolution of the design and creativity behind some of the world’s favourite games. Game Masters received a really positive reaction in Australia, and we believe it will be big draw here in Edinburgh, especially over the Christmas and Easter holidays.”
Classic game characters Pac Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario and the Angry Birds will be on show at the event.
