Take advantage of your Easirent hire car this summer and visit the Energetica Summer Festival, which is running until the end of August, and take part in local nature trails while experiencing the Scottish wildlife in its natural habitat.
Energetica is a global showcase for energy efficiency, technology and development and spans an area of 30 miles from Peterhead to Aberdeen International Airport. Offering global investment opportunities in the technology, engineering and energy sectors, Energetica also showcases the local wildlife to thousands of visitors.
Why not take part in the Dolphin Watch at Torry Battery on Saturday July 11th between 10:30 – 13:00? Entry is free and staff and volunteers from the RSPB will be there with telescopes and binoculars to help you spot the world’s largest bottlenose dolphins just off the Aberdeen coast. There will also be the ideal opportunity to spot porpoises, seabirds and seals by taking part in a guided walk through the Balnagask and Girdleness headland.
Some highlights of the Energetica Summer Festival include a Bumblebee Safari on July 5th, Rock Pooling at Gadle Braes on July 9th and a Red Squirrel Guided Walk on August 22nd.
Although this is a free event, booking is essential as spaces are limited, so make sure you book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
The charming scenery on offer in the area is second to none; spend a weekend strolling along the picturesque coastline, with its beautiful sandy beaches, country parks and castles.
