Air travel is continuing to grow as more flights are announced for the coming year. Car Hire Heathrow Airport are looking forward to welcoming travellers from Texas and a higher number of people from the destinations that will have increased flights.
A direct flight is to be launched in early March 2014 by British Airways, from Heathrow Airport to Austin, Texas using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. It will begin operating five times week, then move to a daily service from 5th May 2014.
Lynne Embleton, British Airways’ director of strategy said, “We’re excited to be the only airline offering direct flights from London to Austin. We believe it will prove very popular with both business and leisure customers and will be our third route to Texas, after Houston and Dallas. In the pioneering spirit of the Lone Star state, we are flying there in one of the world’s most advanced aircraft, the 787, to encourage more business with the scores of hi-tech businesses based in Austin’s ‘Silicon Hills’”.
The launch will coincide with the airlines summer schedule, which will begin on the 30th March. They will be increasing a number of their long haul destinations, such as Seoul in South Korea and Accra in Ghana for this time of year.
