Edinburgh and Liverpool are already connected by a number of different transport links but as of 25th October there is also a regular and direct flight route, from Edinburgh to Liverpool, thanks to Flybe.
The new connection is running regularly throughout the week and weekends and takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes, ensuring Edinburgh travellers who need to be in Liverpool reach their destination quickly and conveniently and vice versa. There is also the added bonus of Easirent hire car centres at both airports for travellers who need to hire a vehicle when they reach their destination.
The flight schedule includes mid-morning flights on weekdays, early morning flights on Saturdays and an afternoon service on Sundays. A spokesperson for the airport described the new connections as ‘great news’ for the airport and wider business and leisure community and it also added that both the airport and Flybe are pleased to have a ‘shared commitment to improving UK connectivity.’
The launch of this Liverpool route at Edinburgh comes soon after Flybe’s announcement that they’re looking to improve connections between Scotland’s capital and London. The Little Red service which used to offer a Heathrow link operated Virgin has recently stopped and Flybe are looking to fill this gap, as well as providing direct links to London City Airport, with recent improvements to this service, making it easy for travellers who want to be transported directly into the heart of London, ready for business or pleasure.
Flybe’s recent actions show they are committed to UK connectivity and appreciate the need for quality domestic flight routes.
