Monday 3rd of August 2015
With the release of the latest Jurassic Park film, dinosaurs are once again all-the-rage in 2015, and those with a penchant for the prehistoric should hot-tail it down to Glasgow’s famous Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in the next couple of weeks in order to catch the ‘Hatching the Past’ exhibition before it moves on to pastures new. This touring exhibition, previously shown in Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and the USA, made its UK debut at Kelvingrove back in April, and is scheduled to stay until 16th august 2015.
Visitors will learn plenty about dinosaur family life, including how they cared for their young, and will discover how important the study of dinosaur eggs has been in understanding these fascinating creatures. Find out more about noted palaeontologists and their discoveries, and see two large casts of a Tarbosaurus and Probactrosaurus skeleton. There will also be a number of dinosaur-themed family events and activities to complement the exhibition, so it’s perfect for the little ones.
Kelvingrove is widely-considered one of the best museums in the UK, and features in our list of top Glasgow tourist attractions. Admission to the exhibit is priced at £5 or £2 for concessions. Don’t miss out!
