It would be disappointing according to the Easirent Car Hire Glasgow Airport team if the long distance runner did not compete at the Games.
There is a race against time for Mo Farah to compete in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, after pulling out of the Glasgow Grand Prix event due to abdominal pains. The double Olympic champion will be now making a decision on competing in the 5,000 and 10,000 metres at the Games.
Mo said, “Hopefully I should be good, but I kind of missed a bit of training, and obviously I pulled out of the weekend’s Grand Prix. So I’m actually just going to get back into full training, and then we’ll see.”
His team of doctors have given him the all-clear to return to training, but is unable to commit his participation at the Glasgow event. He added, “I came back and had some tests done through British Athletics, which went well and now I’ve got the all-clear to get back into training, and I’ll see what I can do. My aim is to compete in both events, but at the same time, I’m getting back into training, I’m having this bit of training, but you know, we’ll make a decision further down the line.”
The next scheduled event for Mo Farah is the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games on Sunday, but this is looking unlikely given his comments.
