It will be a great sporting event for the local children of Glasgow and Car Hire Glasgow Airport hope there will be an inspiration created for future athletes to be born.
Years of planning and hard work all come together next week as Glasgow will finally host the Commonwealth Games. Thousands will travel to Glasgow from across the country and around the world to watch the hundreds of events being held. The local economy will receive a boost financially through shops and local tourism.
It goes beyond the athletes who have trained, as thousands have been working on getting ready, with jobs and training places that leave a legacy for Glasgow. There will be 2500 young people with work experience behind them through Games related projects. More than 750 teachers have been trained to support disabled students in PE classes. Plus a huge number of community projects have received support via the Games.
It is also a chance for the city to sell itself as millions of people from all over the world will be tuning in, meaning all eyes are on Glasgow. It is a chance to leave a legacy to influence the future athletes of Scotland as they watch their sporting heroes compete this summer in Glasgow.
