What a great idea to celebrate a year of a successful link, with Car Hire Birmingham Airport hoping there will be many more for the airport in the future.
A celebratory dinner was had as Birmingham Airport commemorated the first year of its link with Air India opening at the airport. The commercial director of India Airways Pankaj Srivastava flew over to the Holiday Inn to announce the current Dreamliner programme at Birmingham Airport will increase to a daily service in late autumn, from the current four times weekly service.
Since starting the service, Air India has handled more than 80,000 passengers on board 210 flights, serving business passengers, tourists and people visiting friends and relatives.
Mr Srivastava said “This will provide an extra 1,500 seats a week and give passengers greater choice, flexibility and opportunity to travel from the convenience of Birmingham Airport to Amritsar and Delhi.”
