The budget airline operator Jet2.com has announced that it will be offering over 100 temporary seasonal summer positions at Leeds Bradford Airport. The airline, which is based at the Yeadon Hub, will be offering positions including cabin crew, passenger service agents, baggage handlers and overseas holiday reps for its 50 holiday destinations worldwide.
The leisure airline plans to employ over 500 seasonal staff in total for summer 2016 across its seven Northern bases and several European bases.
Kay McCormick, Jet2.com general manager, recruitment, said: “We know that many people start looking for a new job in the New Year and so we hope to have a great response to our call out.
“For anyone who might think they haven’t got the right experience or might be unsuitable, we draw from a pretty wide range of ages, backgrounds and experiences. We’d encourage anybody who is interested to apply for one of the many roles available.”
Jet2.com and its sister company Jet2Holidays are owned by the Dart Group, which announced in September its plans to commit £1.7 billion on 27 new Boeing 737-800NG in order to meet high growth targets.
