It is going to be a fantastic time in Glasgow next year. Car Hire Glasgow Airport hope all people who have applied for tickets get what they were after and are counting down the days.
The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow are after 800 people to fill various roles next year. Search recruitment, a partner of the games has already filled around half of the 1,400 total vacancies and would like the rest complete by early next year.
The job types include, managing and maintaining venues, recording and collating results during competition, staffing the international press centre and overseeing travel arrangements for arriving and departing athletes.
More than 50,000 people earlier this year applied for the 15,000 volunteer roles at the Games, with interviews continuing to find the best candidates. Organisers want people with specific skills such as medical training, but many of the roles required no previous experience.
Initial applications for tickets, which closed at the beginning of the week, were oversubscribed with more than 2.3 million people after 1 million tickets that are available. People who are successful will know during the first week of October.
It all begins on July 23rd 2014 and the public has been thanked for their response, as it will be one of the most popular events in Scotland’s history.
