In a surprise move, British Airways have decided to offer free travel to children travelling with families from Newcastle International Airport to Heathrow. The Newcastle airport has teamed up with BA and Heathrow for the ‘Kids Fly Free‘ offer, which allows up to three children aged 11 or under per paying adult on flights between now and November 1st 2015.
“We know it can be a struggle to keep the kids entertained over the summer holidays and long car journeys can be difficult,” said Andrew Crawley, British Airways’ chief commercial officer.
“So what quicker, easier or cheaper way to see a bit more of the UK, than to jump on a British Airways flight where the kids travel for free?”
The airline are also running an offer of up to two free children’s places at some London hotels for passengers, with families wanting to stay the night offered packages, including flights and accommodation, from £82 per night.
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with British Airways and Heathrow Airport to be able to offer families this excellent ‘kids fly free’ deal,” said Leon McQuaid, the aviation development manager at Newcastle International Airport.
“We hope that families can make the most of this opportunity and discover how easy and quick it is to explore the vast range of culture and entertainment across England when you fly to and from Newcastle International Airport.”
There’s an Easirent site at Heathrow Airport too, so you’re covered for your car hire needs on arrival. To take advantage of this great offer, visit the Kids fly Free section of the British Airways website.
