Monday 24th of August 2015
The legendary Leeds & Reading Festival will return for 2015 on 28th-30th August 2015, and as usual will feature some of the biggest names in alternative music. This year’s event will see headline sets from The Libertines, Mumford & Sons, and heavy metal veterans Metallica, as well as a host of other rock, alternative, and dance acts spread out over an incredible 11 stages. The Leeds leg of the festival will take place at Bramham Park, around a 30-minute drive from our Easirent site at Leeds Bradford International Airport, and is the last major event of this year’s festival season. The festival delivers 3 full days of live music, but is just as renowned for the fun and buoyant atmosphere in the festival campsite, where visitors can pitch their tens as early as Wednesday, depending on their type of ticket.
Leeds Festival has been running since 1999, and has always been run concurrently with Reading Festival, sharing the same line-up, which alternates across the two sites. Reading Festival was established in the early 1960s, and has hosted some of the biggest names in music since its inception, including Pink Floyd, Thin Lizzy, Nirvana, and The Police.
If you are driving to the festival in your Easirent hire car, please be aware that traffic on the roads surrounding the festival site is likely to be heavy from Wednesday 26th August, when the festival campsite opens. For more information on travel, as well camping, tickets, and parking, please visit the festival’s official website.
