There will be plenty of people going to this years event, with Laura and Paul at Car Hire Liverpool Airport hoping to be able to head along.
The Liverpool Food and Drink Festival is on the door step again, ready to celebrate the city’s food and drink scene. Hundreds of local chefs and producers will come together to showcase their goods and serve up a feast for the public.
This year there will be themed dining areas, a beer festival, champagne bar and music stages, as well as an interactive children’s zone and Junior Chef’s Academy. It will all be held during 19th-21st September, with the main event being held in Sefton Park, with smaller venues holding other events across the city.
The head liner for this year’s event is Tom Kerridge, who became the first chef to win two Michelin stars for ‘pub grub’. There will be demonstrations on how to cook some of his favourite dishes.
Tom said “I really like the sound of Liverpool Food and Drink Festival with the city’s pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes and producers taking over Sefton Park for the weekend. The North West is gaining quite a reputation for its booming food and drink scene and I’m keen to see what the city has to offer.”
A number of Liverpool’s best food and drink outlets will also be represented at this year’s festival, from popular bars and restaurants such as Salt Dog Slims, Free State Kitchen and Nolita Cantina, to cafes like Bold Street Coffee, and marketplace retailers such as the Liverpool Cheese Company, as well as a range of street food stalls. Aside from the cooking demonstrations and beer festivals, the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival will also include the Liverpool Food and Drink Awards, which looks to celebrate the best local talent within the food and drink industry.
