Liverpool is famous for many things: its music, its culture, its maritime heritage… and now it can add another to the list, food and drink. In recent years Liverpool has witnessed a renaissance throughout the city and a plethora of delicious food and drink venues have been popping up from Bootle to the Baltic Triangle and beyond. It is only fitting then, that there should be a celebration of this fact, and of course there is – the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival.
Now in its eighth year, the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival brings together its culinary elite, all under one roof. Well, when we say roof, we mean park. Make sure you leave your Easirent hire car at the hotel and head over to Sefton Park on 19 and 20 September 2015, for a foodie feast you’re unlikely to forget.
This year’s celebration of Liverpool’s restaurants, cafes, bars and regional produce is bigger and better than ever, and will feature street food stalls, beer stands, wine bars, cafes, entertainment, an interactive kids zone and even a chocolate garden.
Famous Liverpool restaurants will also feature on the festival menu, including Almost Famous, American Pizza Slice, Chilli Banana, Coffee and Fandisha, Heebie Jeebies, Lucha Libre and Neon Jamon to name a few. Also in attendance will be celebrity chefs Jasmine and Melissa Helmsley, who have catered for the likes of Louis Vuitton and Chanel, and Rachel Khoo who will be offering cookery demos on Sunday 20 September.
