Every year the Blackburn Artists’ Society present an annual Autumn Open Exhibition and this year’s has just opened and will remain open until 6th February, to give art lovers the chance to see the diverse range of pieces created by the local community.
The annual Blackburn Artists’ Society Autumn Open Exhibition 2015 is a chance for the many members of the society to proudly display their best work and they have a very inclusive approach to their society, which accepts people of all experiences who simply want to enjoy and practice their favourite past time. The society was first formed back in 1946 and is about appreciating as well as creating fine art, with both professional and amateur members. They have a clear focus on giving all of their members the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work and from November 21st some of their best work can explore by all visitors to Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery, which opens from Wednesdays to Saturdays each week.
In 2014 the society held their Open Exhibition as well as handing out awards including the Accentura Prizewinner so society members have the chance to feel their work is even more appreciated and enjoyed. Visiting Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery is very straight forward as it is centrally located in the town and there is parking nearby in the town centre and also above the local shopping centre so if you’re popping by with your Easirent hire car there are plenty of safe places to park and visit the museum at your leisure, to enjoy the local art produced by Blackburn’s Artist’s Society.
