London Stansted Airport has announced the names of the 18 retail units that will be housed in its new £80 million departure lounge. The new departure lounge will give passengers a greater range of tax free shopping outlets, and will sell clothing, shoes and accessories ranging from high street brands to luxury retailers.
Phase three of London Stansted Airport’s £80 million transformation of its international departure lounge is expected to be completed very shortly and many brands will be making their Stansted Airport début, including Lacoste, Joules, East, Oasis, Superdry and Dune London. Some of the airport’s retail favourites are set to return to the newly refurbished lounge, including Boss, Ted Baker, Mulberry, Swarovski and Accessorize. Also arriving at the airport will be Stansted’s first beauty spa and salon ‘Cloud Spa’ which will be offering passengers different pamper packages while they wait.
Andrew Harrison, Stansted Airport’s Managing Director welcomed the retail units,
“The £80million investment project to transform Stansted’s terminal and departure lounge is now in its third and final stage and I’m delighted to unveil the line-up of global and high street brands, returning favourites and exciting new concepts that have secured their positions and set to open for business later this autumn.
“Interest in this final phase was once again extremely high with over 80 proposals received for the 18 remaining retail units giving a clear indication of what an exciting development this is in terms of travel retail.”
