Car Hire Luton Airport are pleased that their local football team are starting to turn the corner with two wins on the spin.
The never say die attitude came out for the first time from Luton Town players as they trailed twice, to finally win 3-2 against Lincoln City at the weekend, which pleased manager John Still.
Still said: “Quality comes in different shapes and sizes, and one quality that you need to win football matches is resilience and another quality is belief. We had both of those, so that’s why we won the game. Another quality we need is that never say die, and we never stopped going, we kept going and kept going and kept going.”
It also resulted in back-to-back wins for the first time this season for the club and Still believes in the hard work that is put in will pay off more often than not, he added, “I have this thing that I’ve always said and I’ve always believed in, it was taught to me by my pal who’s a boxing trainer, and I think he trained 17 world champions. “He said the harder you work, the luckier you get and I’m a big believer in that, because I don’t really believe in luck. I just believe if you work hard, things fall for you and one thing that we had was the belief and the work ethic, the over our dead body attitude.”
Up next for LutonTown is an away trip to Woking on Tuesday night, where John Still will be hoping for another three points.
