2014 saw huge success for the Made By Hand contemporary craft fair in Cardiff and it was so popular that it’s back again for 2015. The fair is Wales’ largest contemporary craft festival and market and it is a must visit for anybody who loves to craft or simply appreciates the hard work and creativity that goes into each piece. It’s perfectly timed for picking up Christmas gifts and runs between 30th October and 1st November.
Taking over Cardiff’s beautiful city hall for three days Made By Hand Wales brings a handpicked selection of 135 award-winning makers and creators to the city. The collection will include everybody for jewellery makers to potters and textiles artists to furniture makers, as well as many other types of creative and artistic designer.
All the creators have come together to sell their wares but there is much more to the festival than just sales.
Made by Hand welcomes guests of all ages and there are workshops for even the youngest guests to get involved with as well as masterclasses and craft demonstrations from some of the UK’s most well-known makers and designers. Made by Hand Wales will also host the 2015 International Design and Make Challenge which shows off some of the finest creations with genuine Welsh Cambrian Mountain Wool. 35 designers accepted the challenge so their innovative works will be able to be explored by all visitors to the festival.
Whether you’re visiting Cardiff specifically for the fair or are visiting for other purposes you can pop by the fair with ease as the City Hall is centrally located and just 30 minutes’ drive in your hire car from our Easirent pick up point at Cardiff Airport.
