Manchester United fans waiting for Di Maria shirts due to letter shortage

There must be a member of staff embarrassed is the view of staff working at Car Hire Manchester Airport after one of the letters for shirt names ran out.

Those Manchester United fans who have been keen to get their shirts printed with potential new signing Angel Di Maria on the back, have to wait just a little longer due to the official club shop running out of the letter ‘R’. The player is set to wear the number seven shirt, has arrived for his medical ahead of a £64 million move from Real Madrid.

United supporters who travelled to Old Trafford to get Di Maria’s name printed on their shirts on Bank Holiday Monday were left disappointed after a sign outside the official club store informed fans that there were no ‘R’ letters left in black print.

Di Maria is set to be confirmed as a new Red Devils player within the next few days, United’s club store will make sure they have every letter – and especially ‘R’ – re-stocked as quickly as possible.
