The Car Hire Birmingham Airport have fans of the club and they are not sure what to believe at the moment, but are just pleased results on the pitch have been stronger.
After a week where it was revealed a financial hole of £4.4 million in Birmingham City’s club accounts, manager Gary Rowett has said he does have some money to make two permanent signings during the transfer window in January.
With four victories in his first seven games, Rowett says just because he has the money doesn’t mean he’s desperate to spend it. He said, “Yes we will be in the market place in January. But whether we go the whole hog and bring two players we feel will improve us, it remains to be seen if we think that’s the right thing to do. Certainly financially we will be able to do that. When I came into the club I was made aware I could bring probably two or three players in, maybe four at a certain level. What we have managed to do is look at ways I can maximise that budget.”
Whilst Blues’ accounts did make alarming reading on one hand, it should be remembered they only reflected the financial situation up to June 2014 and not as it is now after a series of cost-cutting measures.
