Car Hire Luton Airport are pleased with the form of their local football team as they go in to saturdays game with a chance to make it nine games without defeat.
The attitude of the Luton players has been cited as a reason for their 4-3 win away at Tamworth last Saturday (19th Oct) according to new midfield signing Andy Parry. The signing from Southport in the summer, scored the second Luton goal, as they went 4-1 up, before a Tamworth fightback late on, they held on to win 4-3.
Tamworth had the better of the opening fifteen minutes, but then Luton controlled the game overall from after that. The young midfielder said, “We like to keep it entertaining lately. You would take a 1-0 with a nice clean sheet and a victory here, but at the end of the day we got three points so we’re all happy.”
It was his second goal for the club, but has not set any targets for amount of goals for the season. Luton were left hanging on towards the end of the game as Tamworth threw on three strikers. Parry continued, “They were just booming balls forward, but we knew that coming here it was going to be like that, that’s what they do if they go behind. They’ve done it before so it’s just a case of battling it out. The spirit’s brilliant every single day, that’s what we’re about, a never say die attitude and we showed that again today.”
Clean sheets are the preferred route to victory for Luton and Parry hopes that can return in their next league fixture.
