Will the planned timescale for getting food at the new restaurant be possible, as Car Hire Heathrow Airport would like to potentially send some of it’s staff there to see for themselves when it opens.
Heathrow Airport will have a new restaurant in Terminal 2 by Chef of the TV Heston Blumenthal. His latest venture will also include a bar and a deli. The menu will showcase some of Britain’s favourite meals inspired by the In Search of Perfection television series, such as burgers, fish and chips, and pizza.
Heathrow’s retail director, Muriel Zingraff-Shariff, said, “This new restaurant will certainly introduce a unique and original dimension to the airport eating experience at Heathrow.”
Heston Blumenthal will join Gordon Ramsey who owns Plane Food in Terminal five of HeathrowAirport. Heston’s restaurant will be aiming to deliver an eleven minute turnaround between ordering and receiving food, catering for passengers in a rush. There will be the customary multi-sensory approach to dining that is synonymous to Heston’s food.
Blumenthal said, “This is an incredible project. There are so many different elements to consider when people are travelling. We want to deliver a broad spectrum of easy-to-enjoy, familiar dishes, from fish and chips to pizza.”
Terminal Two, or The Queen’s Terminal as it is officially named, has also signed up fast food chain Leon and retailer John Lewis.
