The new apprenticeship idea with the new local school is considered a great initiative by the staff working for Easirent Car Hire at Gatwick Airport.
A school opening in Manor Royal is teaming up with Gatwick Airport to provide students with job opportunities. It will begin schooling in September and will work with the airport and businesses based there on initiatives to benefit the students during their time at the school.
Simon Rule who is from the trust running the school said, “I am really keen that all our children understand the world of work, hear from inspiring people across a range of industries and businesses at Gatwick Airport and see for themselves how a successful international operation works. This relationship with the airport will create opportunities to enlighten and enthuse our students.”
The ambition of the school is to work with the airport to eventually generate employment opportunities through apprenticeships. It will be Crawley’s first all-through school with children in Reception and Year 7 classes initially.
