Car Hire Manchester Airport are pleased with the new schedule options on offer at the airport, giving people the opportunity to get some winter sun or visit a European city outside the usual summer window.
Manchester Airport is set to have new winter routes with budget airline Ryanair announcing four routes, which will carry an extra 200,000 people. From September for the first time during a winter season, there will be flights to Barcelona, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Lisbon, which are destinations normally reserved for summer flights.
This will give a passenger boost to 2.3 million, increase the routes in winter to twenty-three and also jobs at Manchester Airport. It is part of the five year plan to boost European passenger numbers.
Kenny Jacobs, Ryanair’s new chief marketing officer said, “We just want to keep growing. Manchester is my favourite city in the world. It has grown significantly as a city over the last five years and it will continue to grow. And as Manchester grows, we would like to do the same with more capacity, better choice and the lowest fares. We’ll continue to add destinations as Manchester Airport continues to be popular for European city breaks as well as business destinations.”
Mr Jacobs has been installed to improve the customer experience with Ryanair with allocated seating and a free second carry-on bag amongst the new additions, with mobile booking being introduced soon.
