The food lovers at Car Hire Manchester Airport are looking forward to the changes being made at one of the country’s well known food outlets.
Food outlet Pizza Hut is set to refurbish all of its Greater Manchester restaurants to become new American style diners by the end of 2014. This will also include a change of menu, to feature a range of American food as oppose to just pizza, salad bar and ice cream factory options. They hope the added American options will add to the appeal of the chain.
Operations director Mike Spencer said, “Trafford Centre is a flagship restaurant for us. That’s why this is a good place for us to start this new concept that will continue to be put in place across the region. In total we are investing about £1m in Manchester in the course of 2014 and in Urmston too. And in 2015 we have the likes of Oldham, Bolton, and Rochdale being refurbished in this new style. There has been longevity with Pizza Hut but we needed to go to the next stage because of how much competition has come to the market in the past six years.”
The investment at a cost of around £2 million follows the makeover of the Trafford Centre outlet, which is now open. Other food places have all been vying for the same casual dining space, meaning Pizza Hut has decided to take action in the area. It is 42 years since the first Pizza Hut opened in the UK.
