It shows how many people use the airport when a new car park is being built. The staff at Car Hire Manchester Airport think the only way to really know if it will cause problems to residents is wait until it is complete.
A new 9,000 space car park has been approved at Manchester Airport as councillors approve plans. The site is in Wythenshawe to the north-east of the airport, although many residents had objected the plans with a fear it would lead to a decline in property prices and congestion.
The airport is believed to be working with residents to address any concerns as planning officials felt it is crucial for the development of the airport. Over 2,000 signatures had been collected, along with concerns over car alarms going off, due to aircraft.
At the moment Manchester Airport currently have eight public car parks with 15,595 spaces and eight staff car parks with 5,535 spaces. The planned 24 hour car park will be placed between Styal Road, Ringway Road and Shadowmoss Road.
