VAT Local Tax

This is a tax applied by the Government on car hire. The percentage (%) in the United Kingdom is 20%. All online prices include VAT.

Road Fund Tax / VLF

This cost is included in your online quote to cover vehicle licensing.

Driver Age

The minimum hire age is 25 and the maximum age is 75.

Responsibility of Keys

If the hirer leaves the keys in the vehicle or fails to store them securely and the vehicle is stolen, the hirer is responsible for reimbursing Easirent for the full value of the vehicle.

Loss of Keys

Failure to return the keys to Jaybank Leisure Ltd will result in a charge of £300.00 + VAT.

Breakdown Assistance

All branches provide national breakdown assistance. Contact details will be provided at the time of rental.

Free Mileage and Excess Mileage

1 Day = 150 Miles Per Day, 150 Miles Total
2 Days = 150 Miles Per Day, 300 Miles Total
3 Days = 150 Miles Per Day, 450 Miles Total
4 Days = 125 Miles Per Day, 500 Miles Total
5 Days = 100 Miles Per Day, 500 Miles Total
6 Days = 83 Miles Per Day, 500 Miles Total
7 Days+ = 71 Miles Per Day, 500 Miles Weekly

If you exceed the mileage limit, a charge of 25p + VAT per mile applies. Rentals over 1 week include a daily excess mileage allowance of 70 miles per day.

Overseas Travel

Vehicles may be taken overseas. Proof of overseas breakdown cover is required, as Easirent assistance applies to UK mainland only. Overseas travel also incurs a Green Card Cover charge.

Fuel Procedure

All vehicles operate on a level-to-level fuel policy. No refunds are given for unused fuel.

Useful Information

Driving Licence

UK licence holders must have held a full licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (subject to insurance approval).

Non-UK licence holders must call 01942 77 88 99 before booking.

Campervans and Motorhome Bookings

All campervan and motorhome bookings require a non-refundable £250.00 deposit at the time of booking.

Credit Cards

Car hire requires a valid credit card. Van hire accepts debit or credit cards.

Excess and Excess Reduction for Cars and Vans

Cars and small/medium vans: £1,250 Excess.
Large vans: £1,500 Excess.

Excess Reduction Options:

• Cars & small/medium vans – Reduce excess to £250 for £20/day.
• Large/X-Large vans – Reduce excess to £500 for £25/day.

Excess and Excess Reduction for Motorhomes and Campervans

Motorhomes: Standard excess £2,000. Reduction options:

• £500 excess for £35/day
• £1,250 excess for £25/day

Campervans: Standard excess £1,500. Reduction options:

• £750 excess for £20/day
• £500 excess for £25/day

These options are payable at pickup.

Optional Extras Available

Available extras include Sat Nav/GPS, extra drivers, baby seats, child seats, booster seats, mobile phones, vehicle upgrades and Green Card cover for overseas travel.

Driver Eligibility Exclusions

The following persons are excluded from hiring a vehicle under this policy:

1. Anyone who has been disqualified from driving within the last 36 months and/or who has more than 6 licence points and/or any of the following offence codes:
   
   
   1. Theft or unauthorised taking – UT
   2. Drink or drug offences – DR or DG
   3. Dangerous driving – DD
   4. Driving whilst disqualified – BA
   5. Driving uninsured – IN
   6. Accident offences – AC
   7. Careless driving – CD
   8. Licence offences – LC30–50
   9. Miscellaneous – MS50–90
   10. Mutual recognition – MR
   11. Special code / totting-up – TT
   
   
2. Anyone who has had insurance declined, renewal refused, or cover cancelled by a motor insurer.
