If you’re planning on visiting Preston this autumn don’t forget to pay a visit to the 15th Continental Beer Festival from 1 to 4 October. Brewers from all over the country will descend on what’s become known as Preston’s best real ale venue, bringing more than 200 cask beers, specialist kegs, draft beers, ciders and perry for guests to try. The four day festival includes a full live music line-up on the Heineken Stage, with R&B, psych and alt rock from bands including Blues Harvest, The Fast Camels and Not My Good Arm.
The Continental’s beer festival has become an institution in Preston, drawing visitors from all over the north west; alongside the range of beers and ciders, guests will be well fed by the Ferret’s tasty team of chefs, who’ll be on hand to serve up a smokehouse barbecue to aficionados.
Just a short ten minute hop from central Preston, the Continental nestles between Avenham Park and the river Ribble, giving you a taste of the areas’s charm, so you can make the most of your hire car and get out and about in the picturesque Ribble Valley countryside. Just don’t forget to leave your Easirent hire car at the hotel if you’re planning on making the most of the festival.
