The Car Hire Birmingham Airport team like the idea of office space at the airport for meetings and getting some work done while waiting to fly in a more familiar environment.
The first regional based airport office has launched at Birmingham Airport, by workspace company Regus. There is also the plan to open an express lounge later in the year at the airport, with office and meeting space. It will offer secure wi-fi, printers and scanners, free refreshments, and professional admin support.
Richard Gill, Birmingham Airport’s head of commercial, said “With more than nine million passengers a year, and a growing number of business passengers opting to use Birmingham Airport, we want to provide the best facilities for people who need to work whilst they are travelling through the airport. Our agreement with Regus will support this aim.”
The Birmingham Airport deal continues on from the Regus Express facilities at Heathrow and Gatwick, plus motorway service stations, shopping centres and retail parks across the United Kingdom.
Phil Kemp, global head of third place work locations at Regus, said “Technology gives people 24/7 access to the office but they still find their productivity disrupted by the lack of a professional place to work or meet away from home or the office. With our launch at Birmingham Airport, air travel here will become much more productive.
People will be able to meet a colleague, or prepare for a meeting whilst waiting for a flight, or when they fly into the airport.”
