Resorts World Birmingham, a new casino and conference centre complex, has announced its opening date as October 21st. The new centre is based at the NEC and will be welcoming its first customers on October 21st in a phased opening plan which is set to spread out over a number of weeks.
Resorts World Birmingham is adding a leisure and shopping element to the NEC area and even includes a huge 11-screen Cineworld cinema, complete with an iMax screen, which opens on October 23rd. The centre is owned by Genting, a Malaysian Company who already have four Resorts World centres in New York City, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia. It is a huge development for Birmingham and it’s certainly worth popping out to see if you’re visiting the area, with the NEC just a short distance in your hire car from the airport, with the drive taking just a few short minutes, perfect for visiting on your way into the city or indeed, with accommodation available, a great place to stay.
The huge Resorts World complex is a multimillion-pound project and incorporates a hotel, that Cineworld cinema and a range of shops including Gap Outlet and Nike Factory Store. It will also be home a Genting International Casino which is believed to be the biggest in Britain and will open on October 26th, in a canny launch date to coincide with the new James Bond movie. There are also a range of food outlets at the site including TGI Fridays and Pizza Express.
This exciting new venue in Birmingham is bound to attract a lot of attention and it’s a destination location which many people will flock to. It’s extremely convenient from Birmingham airport too and you can pick up your Easirent hire car and be at Resorts World Birmingham in a few short minutes.
